Another Finish!!!
This is a free design from Cyberstitchers, Babara Ana. I love the designs Barbara makes. This is the 3rd one I've stitched of hers. I've also stitched Tea and Flip Flop Summer. Here's the link where you can found her designs: http://www.cyberstitchers.com/Home.asp

Another Hornbook Stitcher

This one is done following the pattern., using just 3 colors of DMC. I stitched this one on 28 count linen, over 2. First time I stitched on linen. I found you need very good lighting. I do love the results and will be stitching on linen again in the future. I believe I will be making this into a pinkeep. Sorry for the blurry pictures. I must need new batteries in the camera.
HORNBOOK STITCHER

When I first saw this pattern I thought it would be a cute bookmark. This one is stitched on 22 count Aida using 498 DMC, all one color. I will finish it later this week. I'll be making a few more these, very fast to stitch. I worked on for 3 days. You can find the free pattern here:

SBQ QUESTION OF THE WEEK!!!

Which project (finished or in progress) are you most proud of? Explain why.
I'm most proud of my Kitchen Alphabet because it was the first project I made without using a kit. I had never had to kit up a project before that one. I over bought all the floss I needed and the fabric. But I'm slowing using up both since I've been making my own kits since then.

My second most proudest is The Hornbook Stitcher I just recently finished. My first project done on linen. Can't wait to try some more.

I'm new to SBQ. I've enjoyed reading everyone's answers so much.... I wanted to get in on the fun. So here it goes....

Today’s SBQ was lifted from a couple of threads over on The Wagon and is:
What do you love to do that many people hate? What do you hate to do, but do anyway?

I too love to do the backstitching on projects. For two reasons....one the backstitching adds the detail to many designs and makes the design pop out at you. And two, I know I'm almost done with that project and can start another.

I really do hate cutting fabric....but I do it. Not only for cross stitch but also for my quilting & sewing projects.

NEW MOVIE SEASON
The new movie season is upon us once again. So far I've seen Ratatouille. This was alright. Don't watch it if you haven't eaten. You'll leave starving. There are rats in this movie!!! I also have seen Transformers. I really liked this movie. My husband was surprised I even wanted to see. I liked it more than he did. And he's a comic freak (sorry Honey I had to say it)!!! On Wednesday we are going to see the new Harry Potter: Order Of The Phoenix movie, can't wait!!! Big Harry fan here.
Quilting

I also quilt. Haven't been doing this long. But I love it also. The top picture is a paper pieced miniature quilt I started years ago. I named it Forever because it took forever but also because of the red, white, blue theme...may she wave forever. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.
The other is Passion Spools. Another paper pieced pattern I found on the web (can't remember where). Machine pieced and hand quilted. I have some projects that are not finished. I'll get pictures up of those soon.
CROCHET

I've been crocheting for over 20 years. I've made many items for myself and others over the years. My favorite things to crochet are bookmarks, sachets, pincushions and scrap afghans.

This is a baby afghan I made for a friend at work last year. I've made many of these for friends and family. The pattern is from Annie's Pattern Club Newsletter No. 34 (Aug.-Sept. 1985). I have a huge collection of Annie Attic's publications. I still go through them all and find things to make.
